Ladis is the first stop on the plateau

Ladis, Fiss and Serfaus form one holiday region, but they are separate road destinations. Coming from Innsbruck, Ladis is reached first. Fiss lies farther along the plateau, followed by Serfaus.

This distinction matters when entering the destination. An accommodation described as being in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is not enough to establish the correct drop-off point. Use the village and full property address shown on the accommodation confirmation.

The Sonnenbahn connects Ladis with Fiss as part of the local mountain transport network, but that does not make the two villages interchangeable for an airport transfer.

The route through Landeck and Ried

The usual route leaves Innsbruck Airport and follows the A12 west through the Upper Inn Valley. At Landeck, the Landeck Tunnel provides access to the B180 towards the Reschen Pass. The road then leaves the valley at Ried im Oberinntal and climbs via the L286 to Ladis.

Ladis is situated at 1,192 metres, approximately 400 metres above the Inn Valley. The final part of the drive is therefore a mountain-road ascent rather than an extension of the motorway journey.

The route normally covers approximately 86 kilometres and takes around 65 minutes under suitable conditions. This is an estimate rather than a scheduled duration. Maintenance or temporary restrictions at the Landeck Tunnel, snowfall, winter traffic and the exact accommodation address can make the journey longer.

Public transport requires two changes

Ladis can be reached by public transport, but there is no direct service from the airport. The journey normally involves three separate legs:

1. Bus F from Innsbruck Airport to Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof
2. A train from Innsbruck to Landeck-Zams
3. VVT bus 220 from Landeck via Prutz and Ried to Ladis

Bus F takes approximately 20 minutes to reach the main station. The total journey depends heavily on waiting time between the airport bus, train and regional bus. Check the current train connection and VVT bus timetable for the exact travel date.

Public transport can be practical for a solo traveller with light luggage and a well-timed arrival. A private airport transfer avoids both changes and the need to move suitcases or ski equipment between the terminal, station platforms and regional bus.

Use the exact Ladis address

Ladis alone may not be precise enough for the final part of the transfer. Accommodation can be located in the central village, near the Sonnenbahn or in a separate area such as Obladis.

When the address says Obladis

If the booking confirmation gives an address in Obladis, retain the full address instead of shortening the destination to central Ladis. Obladis belongs to Ladis but is not the same drop-off point, and final access can affect the journey time.

The same applies to private apartments and properties outside the compact village centre. Supplying the property name and full address prevents confusion on arrival.

Booking the airport and return journey

For an airport pickup, enter the flight number, arrival date, passenger count and a mobile number that will work in Austria. Declare all suitcases and oversized items so the selected vehicle has suitable capacity.

Declared skis and snowboards are transported without a separate equipment fee. Baby seats, child seats and booster seats are available free of charge when requested in advance; provide each child's age. The confirmed price applies to the complete selected vehicle rather than to each passenger.
