Winter access to Lech

The Flexen road is the principal winter connection to Zürs and Lech. Staying in Oberlech? Your winter arrival works differently

Oberlech is car-free during the winter season. A direct vehicle drop-off at every Oberlech hotel cannot therefore be promised. The transfer ends at an accessible handover point in Lech that must be confirmed before the journey. Guests normally continue using the Oberlech cable car or the arrangement supplied by their accommodation.

Lech has no railway station. Public transport normally involves travel from the airport to Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof, a train to Langen am Arlberg or St. Anton and an onward bus or taxi. Langen is around 15 kilometres from Lech and is served by bus 750; St. Anton is around 20 kilometres away and is served by bus 760. A further local connection may be needed for the accommodation.

Public transport can suit one person with limited luggage and a well-timed connection. A private transfer is more direct for families, groups, ski luggage, late arrivals and accommodation requiring an additional handover.
